호텔에서의 성관계가 더 행복... 이유는?

Some people prefer sex in a hotel room instead of their own bedroom, believing the venue arouses more excitement.

Ian Kerner, a licensed psychotherapist and sex counselor, has found the reason.

According to his study, the hotel room stimulates dopamine transmission in the brain, 

which plays an important role in sexual arousal and excitement.

He says the hotel's luxurious environment appeals to the five senses, which allows people to feel more sexual.

Sexual arousal occurs in the hotel as the environment turns off parts of the brain associated with anxiety and stress, he says.

"Shutting down or the pushing away of the anxiety, 

creating a boundary of anxiety and stressors of everyday life, is going to contribute to sexual arousal," he said.

몇몇 이는 집보다 호텔에서의 성관계를 선호하며 그 곳에서 더 큰 행복감을 느낀다.

한 연구원이 왜 사람들이 호텔에서 더 성적 쾌감을 느끼는지에 대해 연구했는데 이것은 신경전달물질인 도파민 분비량의 영향으로 밝혀졌다.

영국 일간지의 23일 (현지시각) 보도에 따르면, 베스트셀러 저자이자 성(性) 상담사인 이안 케너는 

미국 매체 허핑턴포스트를 통해 

“호텔과 같은 낯선 곳에서의 성관계는 성적 흥분과 쾌감에 영향을 끼치는 도파민 분비량 촉진을 일으킨다”라고 밝혔다.

도파민은 신경전달물질로 뇌신경세포의 흥분을 전달하는 역할을 한다. 행복감이나 쾌락 등을 느낄 때 뇌에서 분비된다.

케너는 '호텔은 안락하고 화려한 분위기는 우리의 오감을 효과적으로 자극한다'며 

'일상적인 걱정이나 스트레스에서 벗어나 아무에게도 방해 받지 않는 다고 믿어지는 곳이기에 

편안한 마음으로 성관계를 맺을 수 있고 더 큰 행복감을 선사한다”라고 설명한다.
